Does youth need religion?

Łoboda / Marcinek / Wysocki / Rozdżestwieński

Pożyteczna Culture Café Pożyteczna Culture Café, 58 Nowy Świat St.

Papists, korwinists or both. This is the impression you have if you read what mainstream media write about young Poles. We decided to find those the media are not interested with and let them speak.

Together with our Guests we will wonder whether the young people need religion at all; both at school and outside. Do they really need it?

Although this panel has been created by high school and university students, we invite everybody to participate.

Is Atheism a religion and the source of all wisdom?

Obirek / Dominiczak

Pożyteczna Culture Café Pożyteczna Culture Café, 58 Nowy Świat St.

Is atheism some kind of religion and atheists just have a different kind of faith? This is what some believers claim. Do atheists who believe in reincarnation, telepathy or some other traditional supestition can be called atheists at all? What about the leftist ideologies that reject the theory of evolution and use censorship against the supporters of explaining the world through evolution? Or perhaps atheism is just trendy? What is atheism or what it should be, provided that it is supposed to be a valuable alternative for religion?

14:30

Catholic Poland. Phantom pain – the instrument of power of the clergy

Achinger / Maszkowski / Szetela

Pożyteczna Culture Café Pożyteczna Culture Café, 58 Nowy Świat St.

An active participation of the audience in a discussion on the foundation and establishment of the confessional state in Poland will guarantee the clash of different views. The battle of the deeply rooted propaganda with hard facts will enable us to estimate the actual state of the fundaments of clerical fabric and define the tools which could be used to crumble it. The goal is to precisely point the methods and order of actions necessary to fight effectively for an actual secular state that's friendly for all.
